Minimum Requirements:

• Matric/Senior Secondary Qualification (NQF4)
• Minimum of 2+ Years’ experience within an Imports Controller position
• Minimum of 2+ Years’ experience in a Freight Forwarding Operational Environment (Air & Ocean Freight)
• Fully computer literate in all MS Office Suite Applications
• Must have at least 1 year working experience on Cargo Wise (pre-requisite)
• Must have a valid, unendorsed drivers’ licence
• Own vehicle (advantageous)

Key Performance Areas will include but not be limited to:

• Plan freight movement of imported cargo
• Track shipments and ensure updates are communicated to clients
• Coordinate the freight movement and customs clearance
• Cost freight movement and prepare estimates
• Arrange insurance cover and process claims
• provide efficient delivery logistics through data management
• Process administration related to the shipment file
• Effect creditors’ disbursements and process debtor’s invoices
• Comply with the requirements of the quality management system
