This Hygiene Product & Cleaning Equipment Distribution Leader are in the process of expanding their footprint & activities in South Africa and requires a Sales Specialist to build up, develop, retain, and grow their range of products and equipment.

Only individuals who meet with the below minimum requirements of this position will be considered for further assessment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • BCom Degree or relevant Sales, Marketing or Commercial Degree (preferential)
  • Minimum 2-3 years sales experience within the Food Services/Food Safety & Hygiene industry (advantageous)
  • Preference will be given to applicants with sound understanding & knowledge of Food Safety Systems
  • Existing client relationships and network contacts within the food processing, hospitality, fishing, health, automotive industries will be advantageous
  • Fully Bilingual (Afrikaans/English) Written & Verbal
  • Fully Computer Literate (Advanced Excel, Word, Email and PowerPoint Skills)
  • Proof of Targets and actual achievements
  • Must be willing to travel extensively (Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Knysna, George)
  • Valid driver’s licence & Own Reliable Transport

 

Key Performance Areas:

  • Build and develop the market for the various product ranges/brands within designated territory
  • Working according to monthly/quarterly and annual targets per product set
  • Increase the client base by hunting for new customers
  • Manage all negotiations and presentations according the company defined sales process
  • Report weekly on sales activities, sales forecast, and the sales pipeline
  • Manage all internal administrative processes and update the in-house sales SAP Business One system
  • Capture activities and sales related data on the inhouse SAP Business One system accurately and timeously
  • Work according to monthly meetings targets
  • Attend regular training sessions to increase industry knowledge
  • Work with internal marketing team to come up with various campaigns to maximise client spend
  • Be a self-starter and be disciplined to work from home
  • Be a highly competent problem solver
  • Can interrogate data to facilitate territory planning strategy
  • Be open to continual learning
  • Passion for self-development
  • Report directly to the Sales Manager
