This well-known National Outdoor Furniture & Lifestyle Products Retailer would like to appoint an Assistant Warehouse Manager at their Warehouse Facility in Epping Industria.

This position will assist with the overall day to day Warehouse Management activities, therefore requiring strong experience within all Warehouse management principals & procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Secondary Qualification (Gr12, Matric, NQF4)
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Warehouse/Logistics/Supply Chain (Advantageous)
  • 3 – 5 years’ management/supervisory experience within a Warehouse Environment
  • Previous Staff Management Experience (Performance Management, HR & IR)
  • Fully Computer Literate (MS Office)
  • Previous experience in working with Warehouse Management Systems (Preferably Isopos)
  • Code 10 valid Driver’s Licence/Public Drivers Permit (PDP) (Advantageous)
  • Valid Code 08 Drivers Licence & Own Vehicle (Pre-requisite)
  • Core Working Hours (Mon – Friday, 07h00 – 17h00) and flexible to work afterhours/weekends/public holidays during In-Season when and if required

Key Performance Areas will entail but not be limited to:

  • Ensure strong relations and communication processes with internal & external customers as well as suppliers and transport services providers
  • Manage efficient and effective planning & coordination processes from receipt, order, assembly and storage to final deliveries of stock to various branches/external clients
  • Manage all aspects of receiving, warehousing (picking & packing) and distribution processes
  • Manage and supervise all logistical processes pertaining to exhibitions and events from set up to break down stage
  • Effective Quality & Stock  Control Management
  • Staff Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Administration Management & Reports
  • Fleet Management and ensure cost effective route planning to achieve in-service collection and deliveries of stock to various branches and clients
  • Assist and Supervise all Stock Take/Counting processes through proactive planning strategies
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with all Health, Safety and Security procedures to ensure full compliance in line with Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Report directly into Warehouse Manager

Remuneration Offered:

  • Monthly Cost to Company Salary of R16 – R18 000 (neg. depending experience, proven track record and qualifications)
