Represent this company within the Hospitality, Food Processing, Fishing and Automotive Industries in the KwaZulu - Natal Region.

This position is available for suitable candidates that can operate and “own the role” by working from their own home environment to represent our client’s Head Office based in the Western Cape. Our client specialises in a wide range of top quality imported products. The highest level of customer service and commitment in providing sufficient stock levels is what sets them apart from their competitors within the South African and Global markets.

Minimum requirements:

  • Relevant Industry/Sales& Marketing/ Business Qualification/Degree would be advantageous
  • Own reliable Transport & Valid Driver’s License
  • Fully Computer Literate (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills)
  •    Be energetic and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to ‘dance in the moment’ towards meeting client needs and strong client orientation
  • Solution focused with positive yet realistic outlook on life and business
  • Must be sales orientated, self motivated, driven and able to interact and communicate on all levels
  • 3- 5 years’ external sales experience and measured according to targets vs. actual achievements
  • Previous experience in selling services/products within the food processing/chemical/hygiene/health and safety industries
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a sound understanding & knowledge of Food Safety Systems
  • Existing client relationships and network contacts within the food processing, hospitality, fishing, health, automotive industries will be advantageous
  • Have good physical health as the position requires a fair amount of physicality
  • Able to operate and sell within all types of manufacturing/production and food processing environments
  • Must be “hands on” in overall approach, disciplined and accountable

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • Prospect and develop a pipeline through canvassing and networking to optimise consistent, creative and exciting new business opportunities
  • Represent the client as a dedicated & committed Brand Ambassador to all relevant prospective & existing target markets
  • Drive various initiatives in “breaking into” new prospective markets
  • Manage onsite meetings within food production environments
  • Compile own proposals and presentation thereof
  • Establish friendly relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Maintain an existing client base to ensure continuous influx of new orders and strong current and future client relationships
  • Drive a creative and strategic game plan to ensure increase of orders and new sales
  • Manage all internal administrative processes and the in house sales system to ensure all round update of sales progress from own home environment
  • Work toward monthly/quarterly and annual targets
  • Communicate consistent updates and sales productivity status through to Head Office
  • Report directly to the Sales Manager
